Position Title: SAS Developer (Back-end BI)

Background Information:
A Financial Services Leader seeks a SAS back-end business intelligence
Developer to implement and sustain a best-practice business intelligence
systems framework which ensures optimum management of the business intelligence
systems.
Requirements:
- Effectively developing business intelligence back-end systems services, capacity and capability
- Demonstrates a detailed knowledge of several programming environments and a good working knowledge of hardware and software interfaces
- Writing original multi-module/complex programs or applies reusable modules
- Understanding and use of systems integration principles (including hardware, software, network and applications)
- Obtain Data for Business Analyst and/or Systems Analyst for ad hoc requests and prepare data file for statistical analysis
- Enhance and maintain the logical design of the Data Warehouse schemas
- Designing and writing Extract, Transform and Load processes to ensure accurate representation of operational source systems’ data in the Data Warehouse.
- Testing programs and processes written to ensure that the desired end result is met with a strong emphasis on correctness of data and data management.
- Designing, testing and integrating software modules and resolves programming errors using various debugging tools and techniques
- Conducting impact analysis for proposed changes to or problems with the system
- Preparing technical documentation (e.g., user guides, technical specifications)
- Perform impact analysis;
- Performing regression testing, if required;
- Reviewing business specification with Business Analyst
Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- SAS Certification (preferable)
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
- Proficient with data warehouse concepts, structures, repositories and technologies
- Proficient in using SQl and SAS Programming
- Understand business models, source systems and data structure (preferable)
