Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a seasoned international programs professional to
serve our Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region as our Program Manager. This key position will report to the Director of Programs and be based out of our regional office in Pretoria, South Africa. The Program Manager is responsible for providing programmatic support to a group of National Programs within the Europe, Middle East, and Africa area. The Program Manager is expected to support and advise National Organizations (NO’s) and staff to promote compliance with standards and strategic alignment of country programs to promote growth within the NO’s.

As the Area’s Program Manager, you will provide program support and coordination to the NO’s leadership team through specialized program interventions, program review, and final evaluations to monitor effectiveness of support. You will serve as the primary point person for program support by the NO’s, National Directors (NDs) and internal HFHI departments for country specific needs. You will coordinate NO annual budgets and plan reviews; monitors country performance and progress utilizing annual plans and approved project deliverables. In your role, you effectively trouble-shoot operationally-challenged organizations in collaboration with country support teams to resolve program challenges, guide program re-design as needed, and provide critical feedback to AO Director of Programs. You provide National Organization board / Branch advisory council development support, including strategic planning, organizational development, and relevant board fiduciary and program oversight responsibilities.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field such as International Development or International Relations or Social Work required; Master’s Degree preferred
- Minimum 7 years of international experience
- Minimum 5 years of management experience with HFHI or other INGOs
- Experience in partnership or resource development working with foundations or aid agencies
- Fluency in written and spoken English required; local language skill preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Cross cultural management skills
