RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure a high level of product knowledge of The company , the daily happenings in the hotel as well as the local area
- All customer queries and requests are to be handled in a polite and efficient manner thereby maintaining a consistently high level of customer service
- Ensure that a high level of communication and liaison is maintained between Front Office and all other departments within the hotel
- A good working relationship with the concierge team is especially important with regards to guest requests such as organizing cakes, arranging restaurant reservations, excursions, tours, etc.
- Make certain that the Front Office Manager and the Shift Manager are kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from either the customer or other departments
- Report any unusual occurrences or requests to the Manager on Duty in Front Office to ensure a prompt response
- Adopt a sales attitude at all times and maintain an awareness if all sales opportunities within the hotel to maximize room sales and revenue for the hotel
- Ability to work with computer software programmes such as Excel and Word, as well as hotel specific programmes such as Opera
