We have an exciting position in our communication team for a Communication Intern that will produce design/multimedia content to support our work and projects.

Specific job objectives include:
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, knowledge, skills and work related experience:
Formal training and experience in using Adobe Creative Suite or similar software packages Job related knowledge required for this position includes multimedia design and production; social media, branding and marketing would be an advantage.
Job related skills required for this position include: excellent design skills for digital and print, good written and spoken English; time management and MS office tools, positive attitude, hard-working, willing to learn and be part of a team. French and/or Spanish language skills would be desirable.
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa.
Start date: As soon as possible
Duration of internship: The internship is expected to take place over a six month period.
Stipend offered: Interns will be paid a monthly stipend of USD$1 104.

- Develop variety of communication products for social, digital and print media.
- Graphic design for print and online, including for social media channels.
- Produce creative concepts and be competent in DTP/layout.
- Produce and edit basic video products.
- Contribute to social media and online content.
- Assist with content management for CIVICUS' online channels.
- Assist with communication unit administration.
- Assist with other communication unit tasks as may arise.
