REQUIREMENTS:
Matric
- Diploma in Warehouse/Distribution/Logistics Management an advantage
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a warehouse controller within a manufacturing environment is essential
- Previous experience in a similar role within the furniture manufacturing industry an advantage
- Computer literate (MS Office) and familiar with SYSPRO is preferable
- Understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles and able to apply continuous improvements within the area of responsibility is essential
- Experienced in managing the work activities of between 10 and 20 staff members
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to effectively coordinate and interact with various departments
- Self-motivated, proactive and a proven track record as a problem-solver is essential
- JOB DETAILS:
- Daily invoicing
- Ensure that all planned loads are invoiced and handed over to Distribution in accordance with set deadlines
- Ensure daily load sheets are distributed
- Ensure daily reconciling of warehouse stock is done
- Liaise with Customer Liaison and Distribution departments on urgent deliveries
- Manage cut-offs from loads
Stock control
- Ensure weekly cycle counts are done
- Produce relevant daily reports
- Ensure accurate stock takes are conducted and variances explained
- Ensure the effective redistribution of extra stock towards off-site warehouses or new orders
