POST: HR OFFICER (Spar KwaZulu Natal)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Recruitment & selection, and Induction of new employees into the organization. Handling and resolving staff HR related enquiries. Providing HR support in the operations department. Ensure that all appointments, transfers and promotions are properly auctioned and timeously. Employee benefits administration. Monitor compliance to company policies and procedures. Advising Line Mngt and other stakeholders in industrial relations (IR) matters. Facilitating continuous improvement,team development and staff empowerment interventions. Assisting the H.R. manager in the implementation of the H.R. objectives. Advise Line Management in terms of performance management (ROIs). Assist in performing other related functions within dept & as requested by HR Manager. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE Three year tertiary qualification in Human Resources management. Computer literacy in MS Office essential. Minimum 2-3 years experience in HR role. IR and Recruitment experience essential. Good understanding of SA Labour legislation. Good communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to communicate in both English and Zulu will be advantageous. Working knowledge/experience in Industrial relations within a unionised environment Experience with CCMA conciliations and arbitrations essential. Sound leadership and people skills. The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:
Ability communicate at all levels conduct analyses to determine staffing numbers, skills and needs to meet organisational requirements examine and attempt to resolve industrial disputes and grievances provide advice and information to all staff on personnel policies and procedures study and interpret labour legislation work without supervision Experience advertising staff vacancies and assessing applications interviewing job applicants Understanding of SA Labour Legislation CCMA conciliations and arbitrations being the custodian of personal files and confidential records conflict management and resolution Knowledge distribution and warehouse management Skills Required:
