Minimum Requirements
Requirements:
• An appropriate 3 year B - degree (or equivalent qualification) in Journalism or a related field - NQF 6;
• A minimum of 3 years experience in an online media environment;
• Experience in management.
Job Specification
Recommendation:
• Contemporary online content practice;
• Plain language practice.
Key performance areas:
• Support and implement WCG Online Content policy, strategy and guidelines;
• Provide updated online content research, development and co-ordination;
• Promote and develop plain language online content;
• Ensure online content quality assurance;
• Create and maintain WCG online content lexicon;
• Ensure SEO integrated into online content management;
• Ensure citizen responsive content.
Competencies:
• Knowledge of:
o Developing and implementing strategies and plans;
o Business, contemporary and online language practice;
o Editing and translation of documents;
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills;
• Strong research and plain language skills;
• Strong familiarity with contemporary online content and tools.
