About the Job:
BML is seeking a Product Manager - Microcredit to help drive its
microcredit offering in Sub Saharan Africa. S/he will work closely with the
local operations to set up microcredit operations.
Tasks and Responsibilities:

Help the group to identify
markets to launch microcredit operations;
·
Work closely with local CEO's and
teams to drive the company's mission and vision;
·
Use industry knowledge to build
and implement relevant product offerings;
·
Play an active part in building
the in country roll out plans;
·
Assist in developing targets for
local markets;
·
Support the local team in the
areas of credit policy, setting up of operations, implementation of policies
and procedures, recruitment, and training;
·
Responsible and accountable for
the growth of loan book in relation to budget;
·
Responsible for helping the local
team to manage the arrears process and to ensure that delinquency is kept at
desired levels;
·
Identify and implement innovation
which helps the business to achieve its objectives.
Qualifications:
University degree in the area of
Commerce and Business;
At least 5 years relevant
professional experience of which a part of that must have been at management
level;
Proven background in successful
implementation of microcredit program(s);
Specific experience in Sub
Saharan Africa is a positive.
