WORK CONTEXT
Cesvi operates in South Africa in what can be considered a consolidated
support for women and children victims of domestic violence and abuse.
The mainstay of these activities takes place in the 'House of Smiles' in
the Philippi township.
Moreover, Cesvi is supporting the creation of the Great Limpopo
Transfrontier Park (Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe), is helping in the
development of an integrated management of the park and is promoting specific
initiatives aimed at ensuring that the benefits of this process will help the
communities in the bordering areas.
JOB DESCRIPTION;
The collaboration will start April 15th, 2013. The main duty station will
be Philippi, a township where Cesvi runs the House of Smiles. Main tasks:
Ensure the implementation of the activities, in accordance with the Project
documentation Undertake the procurement operations according to the donors'
(UE, the Leading Agency Cordaid, Cesvi and Local Government) rules and
procedures Guarantee project reports respecting the deadline required by
Cordaid, the Donors and Cesvi HQs Represent the Project with local authorities,
the donor, partners and the other stakeholders involved in the action Ensure an
efficient office organization and a correct registration of project
documentations Contribute to the identification and the development of new
project proposals in the social sector and/or in the area of intervention
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

University degree in Social
Studies or related fields At least 5 year experience in developing countries
(preferably in Africa)

Previous experience in the
management of Social Projects (the organisation of youth-centred projects will
be considered a plus)

Independent and able to move
within the Project Area Ability to manage workload and stress Excellent
diplomatic skills Fluency in English (written and spoken)

DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES Previous experience in South Africa Flexible,
patient and with a positive attitude Dynamic and willing to take initiative to
complete assigned tasks Good administration skills Knowledge of EU procedures
