Position Summary:
This position will support the Business Unit in complying with the Sasol values, Legal requirements, SHE standards and procedures enabling a safe working environment.

Strategic development, implementation and tracking of SIP and EMP.
Ensuring BU compliance to SIP and EMP.
Keeping abreast of new developments in the SHE function
Ensuring positive development of self and team in department.
Drive continuous improvement in the business
Required Outputs:
Customer and Relationship results
Ensure effective relations and teamwork within SHE team within the BU.
Ensure effective relationships with BU managers, SHE managers, line supervisors, staff and PSS resources deployed at the BU.
Ensure effective relations with Service Providers.
Sharing of knowledge and experience within the team
Required Outputs:
Innovation and Improvement Results
Identifying and implementing awareness programs within Occupational Safety to create better understanding on safety issues
Apply new ideas/work methods and opportunities for obtaining improved SHE results.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree Safety Management or equivalent. 3-5 Years Plant/Process work experience
3 -5 Years Safety orientated work experience 3-5 years OHSAS 18001/ISO 14001 experience Competent in Microsoft Office

- Ensure SHE management system is correctly interpreted, implemented and maintained in the BU. (OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, BBS, Responsible Care, PSM)
- Driving a change in culture towards SHE optimization within BU.
- Facilitate formal accident/incident investigations.
- Ensure that the BU operates within the legal parameters with the aid of processes and procedures(management system)
- Facilitate the Risk Assessment process.
- Compile and submit monthly, bi-monthly and quarterly SHE reports
- Analysis of SHE trends (risk profiling) and recommending next steps to add value to the business.
- Ensure development and maintenance of site specific legal register.
