Position Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to operate within a best practice framework for the Momentum Retirement Administrators communications function. This must be achieved by using audience research, business needs, MRA marketing strategy and communication channels to implement the communication framework that will lead to target market message dissemination, brand awareness, customer loyalty and business growth.
Location:
The above-mentioned position is currently available in the MRFA : Marketing department at our Momentum Retirement Administrators division/business unit based at our office in Parktown.
The Incumbent will be responsible for:
ROLE OUTPUTS
Perspective: Process
• In collaboration with the Head: Marketing and Communications implement and take joint accountability for the operating model of MRA Communications in response to the corporate market strategy.
• Work collaboratively with the other business units in this segment, internal marketing and research and business development team to provide outstanding, effective and efficient communications services.
• Responsible for the development, updating and maintenance of:
o technical marketing material and documents
o proficiency training materials
o product guides
o new business and employer portal documents and reports, system generated letters
o tender documentation, presentation templates and product brochures
• Responsible to design, content and editing of clients’ newsletter in support of the funds’ communication strategies
• Ensure that documents are updated on the website and all other relevant platforms.
• Responsible for copywriting, proof-reading and editing of all official MRA documents and external market messages.
• Responsible for editing and approval of business communication in support of CEO, Operations team and sales team
• Contribute to strategies and related processes to continuously grow the MRA target market and position the marketing message correctly through the correct mediums.
• Design and manage marketing and communication processes and influence the incorporation of product development and client services to improve understanding and acceptance of the brand message in the market.
• Contribute to the optimisation of retailisation, cross-selling and collaboration opportunities through appropriate relationships and Communications efforts to maximise brand image to the market segment.
• Continuously research and monitor the impact of communications using internal and external data resources to identify areas of improvement and effectiveness/success.
• Continuously strive to enhance and improve the Communications processes.
• Represent and market this process both internally to peers and externally to clients, consultants etc.
• Monitor and report on a process to gather organisational feedback regarding the application of Communications practices, processes, documentation and business values.
• Influence media groups/stakeholders and public relations events in overall support of the MRA market image and messaging.
• Be aware of and influence Internal Communication and efforts by other business units in support of Employee Benefits Brand and Culture.
• Contribute and ensure compliance to employee benefits governance, relevant legislation and risk mitigation strategies.

Perspective: Client Services
• Craft, implement and monitor service practices that meet clients and own organisation's needs whilst simultaneously supporting the operations and business development units to grow their client base.
• Ensure effective relationships and SLA management with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to a service culture which builds rewarding relationships, proposes innovations and allows others to provide exceptional client service.
• Provide a professional Communications advisory service..
• Liaise with other internal stakeholders within the Employee Benefits area to ensure alignment of other external and internal marketing activities.
• Participate in MMI wide practice forums to influence Communications awareness and brand loyalty.

• Share and transfer product, process and systems knowledge to colleagues.
• Collaborate and work with the rest of the Marketing, Communications and Business Development team to deliver required service levels.
• Actively participate in the Communications team to ensure functional balanced scorecard objectives are achieved.

The applicant should meet these requirements:
• Social science related degree and/or Communications Degree
• 5 years relevant experience
• A RPL (recognition of prior learning) process may be considered for this role in conjunction with minimum qualifications.
• Excellent writing skills
• Attention to detail
• Good knowledge of the employee benefits industry
