The incumbent will report to the Assistant General Manager
(Sales & Operations).
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining sales strategies to meet organisational objectives.
- Support management by motivating and influencing the area managers to reach the targets as set by management.
- Compiling statistics on performance of area managers and taking necessary steps to rectify deviations from agreed standards
- Evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor and implements marketing plan changes and needed
- Oversees all marketing, advertising and promotional activities
- Responsible for increasing sales revenue through the development of sales strategies and area office management
- Actively participate in the successful design, development and implementation on new systems, processes and/or procedures within insurance
- Develop annual sales plan, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus on meeting organizational objectives
The ideal candidate should have:
- Extensive experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining sales strategies to meet organisational objectives
- 4-6 years experience in sales/ marketing management
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Business acumen, strategic planning experience and report writing skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- A valid drivers licence
- A tertiary qualification in marketing and passed RE 1
- Be prepared to travel
- Comply with FAIS and other Legislation
