Based near Kempton
Park. Due to takeover by a leading multinational of
an international Company which has doubled the Southern African turnover, this
key position is offered and will be reporting directly to the South African
Head of Finance (who reports to the MEA Finance Controller). The successful candidate will be responsible
for managing a team of approximately 6 Staff including Accounts Payable,
Accountant (who is responsible for expenses, fixed assets, general ledger), 2
Accounts Clerks (controlling 5 Bank accounts, master file integrity,
allocations, etc.).
Key performance areas, inter alia, include:
- Management of Finance Department
- Ensuring integrity and accuracy of all financial information
- Balance sheet reconciliations, balancing all control accounts, etc.
- Monthly management reports and pack (Company uses SysPro and HFM for reporting locally and regionally into Middle East) and presentation to Head of Finance
- Reporting in IFRS and noting that it will be in accordance between US and local GAAP
- Statutory returns, e.g. VAT, STC, etc.
- Managing year-end audit and also managing internal audit (from US Internal Audit Department)
- Assist with annual budgets.
Requirements:
B. Comm., CTA or
CA plus 1 or more years of post-article experience
- Meticulous and attention to detail
- Broad knowledge of IFRS
- Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, graphs, V&H look-ups)
- Very self-driven and high energy as there may be considerable overtime (due to the recent acquisition).
