Job Description
The MWEB division in Cape Town currently has a vacancy for a Product Owner who, reporting to the Senior Product Manager, will be responsible for ensuring that business requirements are precisely defined and that any solutions adhere to these requirements, as well as to facilitate the most effective communication and co-operation possible between the business and the development teams.
Job Outputs
• To provide vision, leadership, and support to development teams, by applying the scrum software development principles and techniques
- To perform solid business analysis and gather business requirements for the Wi-Fi division
- To translate these requirements into technical specifications against which software developers and testers can deliver on
- Use these requirements to write user stories and acceptance criteria
- Developing release plans
- Participate in Sprint planning
- Participate in Sprint reviews
- Facilitate Backlog grooming
- Facilitate Backlog prioritization
- Prepare product training material for the business
- Provide product support to the business
Qualifications and Experience
-Minimum of 2 years business analysis experience at an intermediate to senior level
- Experience in scrum software development in a Product Owner role
- Experience in managing multiple concurrent products
- Experience in Internet Service Provider Industry advantageous
- Fibre Optics and wi-fi Industry experience highly recommended
- Tertiary qualification preferred or Business Analysis Qualification
- Experience in systems and solutions architecture and business requirement specifications
- Certified Scrum Product Owner beneficial
- Proven track record in Project Management
- Proven experience in managing large, multi-stranded technical deliveries
- Experience with real time application development specific to wi-fi
