JOB DESCRIPTION
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Oversee and be
responsible to assist in all Steel Erection activities on the site.
KEY PERFORMANC INDICATORS
·
Work in a safe manner.
·
Manage his team on a day to day basis.
·
Daily, Weekly and Monthly planning
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
·
Ensure high standards of safety and quality are
adhered to.
·
Assist the Construction Manager in day to day
allocation of the Bolting Crews.
·
Must be able to work unsupervised.
·
Must report all deviations from the scope of
work timeously in writing to the construction manager.
·
Ensure all Bolting / Erection equipment is
checked regularly (daily, monthly, quarterly) according to the act and ensure
equipment is in a safe working order.
EXPERIENCE:
·
The appointed candid must have at least 10-15
years in Steel Erection and the use of cranes and Bolting /Erection Equipment.
·
Another advantage would be to have previous
experience in this type of position on a similar project.
·
Must be able to read; GA & detailed Erection
Drawings and rigging studies
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Suitable level
of ‘On the Job’ experience in the Pre-Assembly and Erection of all types of
Structural Steel. Must have held either
a Forman / Supervisor position previously.
