Classification: Accountant - Staff
Compensation: $46,800.99 to $55,000.00 per year
Our client, a large private group of companies in Downtown Calgary, is looking for an Accountant for their Car and Truck rental company. As an Accountant reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial statements, taking care of the fleet accounting (acquisitions, disposals and depreciation of rental units), month end closing, facilitating the annual budget processes and assisting with other tasks as assigned by the Controller.
Job Requirements
If you are looking to be a part of a small but family friendly organization, then this role is for you! As the successful Accountant for this private company, you will have 5+ years of accounting experience. You will have an Accounting Certificate or Diploma but WILL NOT be pursuing an Accounting Designation as there is little opportunity to move up in this small private company. The successful candidate will be able to guide and mentor junior staff members, have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and an approachable attitude.
